You can finally tell me what broke

Until this release, there was no way to tell me aidlc was broken.

The source repo is private. So the "Issues" link on the npm page, the "GitHub" link in this site's header, and every link to the issue list opened a 404 for anyone who wasn't me. All 200 issues in that repo were written by me. Meanwhile npm counted 12,201 downloads between 12 September and 11 October. Some of that is mirrors and scanners chasing 76 new versions in a month. Not all of it.

Then aidlc 2 dropped Cursor, Windsurf, Kiro and Copilot. If you used one of those, aidlc update told you to stay on 1.x. It did not tell you where to say you wanted your platform back, because there was nowhere.

What changed

There is now a public repo, rasensio/aidlc-feedback, and everything points to it: the npm "Issues" link, the README, the header and footer of this site, and both messages a dropped-platform user sees. The one-line notice from aidlc update now ends like this:

Need it back? Say so at https://github.com/rasensio/aidlc-feedback/issues. To silence this, remove it from platforms: in .aidlc/config.yaml.

The repo has three issue forms: a bug report, a feature request, and a platform request. There is also one pinned post that asks three things: which agent tool you use, what you use aidlc for, and what is missing.

Why this way

I chose issues over Discussions because issue forms add a label when they're filed. A platform request arrives tagged platform-request, so in 30 days I can count them with one gh issue list instead of reading every thread. Blank issues are off for the same reason. An issue without a form has no label, and the count would quietly miss it.

I didn't make the source repo public. That's a separate decision, and this didn't need it. I also didn't add telemetry. aidlc still sends nothing from your machine. If I want to know how it's used, I have to ask.

What it does not fix

Nobody has to post. If nobody does, the silence will look like everyone is happy, and I know that reading would be wrong. Other links in the README still point into the private repo, like the diagrams and the docs pages, and they still 404. They get fixed whenever the source repo goes public, if it does.

If aidlc 2 broke something for you, the repo is there now. Tell me.
